This is the second time I've taught the class. This time it was way better than before. I was more prepared than the first time I taught. I was able to read the structure of the class, and my presentation wasn't as long. I learned to lenghten and shorten my presentation based on how much time I had left. I am satisfied with what I have done, and this will help for future events which I am required to teach. Can't wait for next time.

The third quarter has been a tremendously fast and difficult quarter. Everything has been flying by, and recently HOSA has been restricting me. I ended soccer season well, and moved onto another sport I love to play, which is tennis. I have had a bumpy start and missed quite a few activities because HOSA has had control over my schedule. The group I am in is amazing, and we support each other very well. My competition is in 2 days, I am very excited for what is to come. Also every besides HOSA, everything has been moving as smooth as possible, many clubs and activities I am running or entering are paused because of HOSA, but I am happy with what I have accomplished. This morning one of our teachers ressigned, and I am anxious for what is to come. Till next quarter.
Setting Goals It is important to have goals set because if you don't look at what you want to get accomplished, and keep that in mind, then you'll get lost in the moment. With everything you're most likely juggling, it's difficult to keep up with the things you want to accomplish. Thus with set goals, you can remind yourself what needs to get done. I have goals that I would like to accomplish by the end of this year like: maintaining a GPA of 4.0, getting someone to help me run guitar club, making it to CIF in soccer and tennis, completing the year with all honors, completing speech and debate club, going to the HOSA competition and getting past the first round, complete NHS, make a trip to Egypt in the summer, come back and take summer classes, keep my citizenship grades at "E"s, and even practice for the SAT. Quarter 2 has flown by quickly, while speeding up every once and a while. I have ended once again with a 4.0 GPA, and have been working to get ahead of my work. I feel very successful in many of my sports and extracurriculars. Soccer has been going great, and there are way more games this season. Guitar club has recieved more people interested to play, and I have my next debate coming up in the end of January for Speech and Debate club. I have had some challenges and unexpectly time consuming tasks like HOSA, which I'm practicing with my group. Honors has been moving smoothly for me, yet some of the honors assignments have been stacking on each other. I recently have been trying to get into a program called Reality Changers because of the great things I have heard about it, and I believe it will assist me in the future. I am glad I can continue to move forward and progress.
Ms. Schafer's class is one of those classes where you usually have a ton of people, which makes it great when it comes to tutoring. It gives you a wide opportunity of assisting any peers who need help. I myself enjoy helping others, especially my peers, so this semester of tutoring was great. I feel like many people benefited from going to tutoring during lunch this semester, and there history grade increased. Aside from my peers, I also benefit from tutoring, because as I teach or refresh my peers mind of our many units, I tend to understand them more. Each time I repeat myself, is another time that the information goes through my brain. All in all this semester of tutoring was benefitial for everyone.
My first teaching experience to my world history class, went quite well. I had started planning my lesson as soon as Ms. Schaefer had talked about it. The lesson didn't go as I thought it would, but it went swell enough. I started the class with the quick-write, following Ms. Schaefer example. The class went along with it very well, taking out their notebooks and following instruction. My lesson continued smooth for a while, until I realized that I wouldn't be able to complete my lesson in the 20 minute time limit. I finished the quick-write, and moved on to the video. The video went well, as many students were paying attention. I was able to teach everything including the article that I presented for the students to read, however my foldable was cut short, and my partner wasn't able to finish teaching. I still believe that the lesson went well, and I have a better understanding and different expectations for next time.
The end of the first quarter was a little bumpy. I am very confident with the classes that I'm having. I have ended the first quarter strong, with a 4.o GPA. I am excited for what's to come like sports and internship. I am planning on playing soccer and tennis, and for internship I should be playing guitar or piano for the elderly. I feel already I am ahead of the game with 45 empowers and 15 accelerated. So far my classes are going very well, with lots of interest in them I feel ready for anything to be thrown at me. I currently volunteer at the library near the school, City Heights library, trying to get extra hours of community service. Which is going well so far. I am also doing other clubs like Guitar club, Speech and Debate, and all honors. Just recently I had my first debate which went well. I am glad to end the first quarter so well.
